How does TopoLex use my location?
Your precise location stays on your device to trigger narrations as you walk. Only an approximate area is sent to our servers to find nearby points of interest. You can revoke location access anytime in iOS Settings.
Why does TopoLex need background location?
So narrations keep playing as you walk, even when your phone is locked or you switch apps. Without it, audio stops when the app goes to the background.
Are the narrations written by AI?
Yes. Narrations are generated by AI using verified historical research. They may occasionally contain inaccuracies. If you spot an error, let us know.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in the app and tap “Delete Account.” All your data will be removed within 30 days.

The app isn’t triggering narrations — what’s wrong?
Make sure location access is set to “While Using” or “Always” in iOS Settings → TopoLex. Also check that you’re within range of a tour’s points of interest.
